Corporate Strategy
ALARGAN has been focusing on developing and marketing affordable and quality housing properties throughout the GCC region. While there was also an element of commercial space, this was mainly designed as a way to improve available services for residents rather than as a driver of the projects themselves. ALARGAN has also moved into the hospitality, office and commercial segments through the development of the Bida’a Project, which includes the Mövenpick Hotel & Resort, ARGANBusinessPark and the Barka Resort amongst others.

ARGANA Hotels & Resorts Company was established specifically to hold the regional hospitality assets of ALARGAN and has been seeded with the Bida’a Project (hotel, commercial and “C” club) and the Rimal Resort.

ALARGAN's current emphasis is on geographical and segment diversification. However, the Company continues to regard affordable and middle-income housing as its core business. This strategy has proved very successful in Oman, Bahrain and especially in Saudi Arabia with its large market and almost no serious competition.

Moreover, ALARGAN continues to pursue a vertical integration of its services under the real estate value chain through. In that respect, ALARGAN contracting and project management subsidiaries, serve as the contracting and project management partners in the majority of the Company's developments. ALARGAN also holds strategic stakes in other real estate related companies in the areas of property management, sales and financing. This vertical integration of real estate services enables the Company to deliver quality affordable housing products and services to the market at competitive prices.
