In June 2007 , ALARGAN International Real Estate Company joined the prestigious United States Green Building Council (USGBC), making it the first Kuwaiti company to join this environmentally conscious organization. Developed by the USGBC, the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) building rating system measures certain criteria in order to grant certification. To that end, ALARGAN is aiming for the highest rating in LEED certification for Commercial Interiors from the USGBC for its new headquarters.
